Step 1
To prepare the dough:Place the flour in a bowl, add the salt, and mix well.

Gradually add water to the flour and knead until you obtain a homogeneous and smooth dough.

To prepare the filling:Place the meat in a bowl, add the onion, cilantro, oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix the ingredients well.

To prepare the yogurt sauce:Place the yogurt in a bowl and mix it well using a whisk.

Add water and the egg to the yogurt, then mix thoroughly.

Add salt and cornstarch, and stir well.

Place the yogurt on the heat and stir continuously until it reaches a boil.

To prepare the Shish Barak pieces / Meat Dumplings:Take a piece of dough and roll it out with a rolling pin.

Cut the rolled-out dough into flat circles using a small coffee cup.

Place a small spoonful of the filling on each piece of dough.

Fold the stuffed dough pieces to form a semi-circle, then fold them again to shape them into balls.

Place the Shish Barak pieces in a baking dish and bake them until they turn golden.

Remove the baked Shish Barak from the oven and place them in the cooked yogurt sauce.

Pour the Shish Barak into a serving dish, sauté cilantro and garlic in a bit of butter, then pour it over the dish along with some nuts.
